Drought

Drough
“Drought” where made in February 2018.
In Cape Town, South Africas water reservoirs where running dry. Restrictions where tight, people re-using gray water and one could check the neighbours water-usage online. Only two months where left till DayZero, when taps would be switched off and residents would have to queue one of the 149 collection points for 25 liters of water per day. The city of CapeTown, with its 4.4 million inhabitants was on the brink of becoming the first major city in the world to run out of water.

Looking back at these events “Drought” provides a subtle reminder of the vulnerability of our rase.
It reflects on our habits of consumption, the challenges we face in unity and how we as individuals react to these kinds of situations. It raises questions of our social structures, what kind of society do we want to handle our crisis, and what kind of society are we building right now?
